The Intersection of Well-Being and Working Parenthood: Three Industry Perspectives

The Intersection of Well-Being and Working Parenthood: Three Industry Perspectives

Sponsored by: LMA Well-Being Committee
Domain: Marketing Management and Leadership
BoK Competencies: Change Management and Department Management and Motivation

This month, we're excited to welcome a group of professionals offering hard-won knowledge and perspectives within and outside of legal for a discussion centered around the intersection of well-being and parenting and caregiving responsibilities through these lenses:

  • Personally – how being a working parent/caregiver can impact personal well-being
  • Relationally – how parenting and caregiving can impact relationships at work regardless of nature, size or structure of the organization
  • Organizationally – how truly supporting working parents/caregivers can fundamentally change the culture of an organization for the better

The panel will also explore:

  • What law firms are doing to support parents and caregivers
  • What companies and industries outside of legal are doing to support parents and caregivers
  • How you can effect change and create a supportive culture at your firm by creating an employee resource group at your organization

Learning Outcomes:

  • Define and understand parenting and caregiving roles within the contexts of personal well-being, interpersonal relationships and professional and organizational functions.
  • Discuss ways parents and caregivers can identify opportunities and effect change within their organizational culture and create more supportive environments.
  • Gain awareness of the LMA Well-Being Resource Center and Committee.
