Can someone tell me where the time has gone because I could have sworn January just happened. And can someone tell me why is it getting cold again, and so soon? For what it’s worth, I hope you were able to enjoy bits of sunshine and summer, and for those who got a chance to go, Tech West by Southwest. This first-ever regional conference in Las Vegas had over 250 attendees at the Aria, well, it was a hit. We had some of the most amazing speakers and supporters of LMA, and feedback to what a combined conference could achieve when asked “was this format and conference worth it to you?” was a resounding yes.
The conference covered what lies ahead and where we are at in the post-pandemic environment. All those attending, from CMOs to assistants, attended panels that covered topics like: AI and where LLMs are looking to shape our software experience, what we need to be doing for potential integrations, and what shifting modes of thought we need to consider in 2025. Our sponsors couldn’t have been more generous, and I am personally thankful to them as I know many of you understand how these events are not made possible without their hard-earned contributions and knowledge.
We’re headed into that time of the year where your local stores are bringing out the holiday gear and you haven’t even gotten past how you’re going to keep it together during Thanksgiving. If it brings you any solace, find your escape in the events that we have in store and have just had (thanks to local steering committees) in the Pacific Northwest, Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Southern California. Our gracious local leadership teams have been hard at work to plan gatherings that bring you smiles that are genuine and heartfelt, unlike with some of those you may be stuffing over Thanksgiving dinner. Enjoy some laughs while you get through submissions season, perhaps some last-minute pitches, and come out to meet your fellow colleagues this winter.
With appreciation,
Mohib Qidwai
LMA West Region President
