As we close out the year, I’m filled with gratitude and pride for what our community has accomplished together. When I first joined LMA in 2012, I could never have imagined the growth, opportunity, and connection this organization would bring. This year affirmed what makes the Southeast Region so special: a vibrant, seven‑state network that invests in each other’s success and elevates the profession across our markets.
What we achieved—together:
- Member reach and local leadership: We proudly served nearly 500 members through 10 Local Steering Committees—a testament to the power of local leadership and the value of a region rich in connection and opportunity.
- Programming across our region: Our LSCs delivered nearly 100 local activities—from roundtables and social events to hands‑on workshops—designed to meet members where they are and tailor learning to evolving needs.
- Deep development through regional intensives: We hosted two regional Deep Dive intensive workshops focused on the skills and mindsets legal marketers need now. These one‑day experiences created space for in‑depth learning, real‑world application and cross‑market collaboration.
None of this happened by accident. It was the product of passionate volunteers, thoughtful planning and a shared commitment to deliver high‑value education and networking. Thank you to our LSC leaders, committee volunteers, speakers and sponsors who gave their time and talent. Your leadership fuels our momentum and strengthens the collective value of our membership.
Looking Ahead
While this message marks my transition out of the President role, I look to next year with eagerness and excitement for what is to come. Our Region is in excellent hands, and the incoming Regional Board is poised to build on this year’s momentum with programs that reflect the evolving needs of our community.
As you begin the new year, remember: you only get out of the organization what you put into it. Attend an event. Raise your hand to volunteer. Join a Shared Interest Group. Consider service on an LSC or the Regional Board. Your engagement accelerates your growth—and it lifts the whole region.
To every member who showed up, shared an insight, asked a hard question, mentored a colleague or opened a door for someone else: thank you. You made this year productive, enriching and deeply rewarding.
