The pace at which this year is advancing is both remarkable and, at times, dizzying. However, amidst the whirlwind of activities and responsibilities, it's crucial that we pause to reflect on our well-being and the well-being of those around us. May marks Mental Health Awareness Month, serving as a timely reminder of the importance of prioritizing our mental wellness. In the midst of our busy lives, including a demanding profession, it can be easy to overlook our own mental health needs. However, I urge each of you to take time for self-care and reflection. Whether it's through mindfulness exercises, seeking support from loved ones or engaging in activities that bring you joy, let us use this month as an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to our mental well-being.
Looking ahead to the summer months, I hope that each of you will find time to embrace the spirit of fun and relaxation. Whether it's spending time with loved ones, embarking on new adventures or simply reading a good book, let us make the most of the opportunities that the summer season brings. Mid-year is also a great time to level-set, reflect upon your goals and chart your path forward before the busyness of fall gets going full blast. The LMA Southwest Board is hard at work reviewing their goals for the year and plotting the course to end 2024 with a bang!
We’re approaching the coming months with enthusiasm, determination and a shared sense of purpose to help deliver value to our members and ample opportunities to connect. Speaking of which, make sure to mark your calendars for October 23-25 for the Tech West by Southwest Region Conference in Las Vegas! It’ll be the first of its kind, and you won’t want to miss it. Registration coming soon! In closing, I want to express my gratitude to each one of you for your dedication and contributions to our organization. Whether you’re a volunteer leader or someone attending a program for the first time, you’re important to creating the valuable network of professionals that helps the LMA Southwest Region thrive. Wishing you all continued success and well-being in the months ahead.
Warm regards,
Elizabeth
