As the vibrant energy of fall settles in, I hope this message finds you well and refreshed. Fall is a notoriously busy season, kids go back to school, conference season enters overdrive, and we’re busy pushing toward year-end goals in our professional lives. It’s easy to put your head down and barrel through until the year-end holiday season sets in.
During this incredibly busy time, it’s important to remember the strength we have as a community. The collaboration and support we offer one another are the backbone of our individual and collective success. While I hope that all of our LMA Southwest members are having opportunities to connect throughout the year, one major opportunity to establish and deepen relationships (and your knowledge base) is right around the corner.
This year our LMA Southwest Region has partnered with West to bring you the inaugural Techwest x Southwest Conference in Las Vegas on Oct. 23-25. By joining with the West Region, we can fuse our efforts together to achieve common goals for change and further education as the disciplines of technology, marketing and business development increasingly overlap in all our roles.
If you aren’t an LMA member yet, but have been wanting to become one, now is also an excellent time to join LMA for a mid-year discount, and discounts on the upcoming conferences.
On a personal note, my husband and I are planning to welcome our first child later this month. While I will remain up-to-speed on all things LMA Southwest, our incredible President-Elect Rachael Schilling will be taking the helm for a short time so that we can focus on our family. As we embrace this new chapter in our lives, I’m reminded of the importance of community—both in our personal lives and within the LMA Southwest family.
Thank you for your continued commitment to helping the LMA Southwest community thrive. I hope to see you later this fall.
Warm regards,
Elizabeth Brick
