Dear Mid-Atlantic Members,
What a way to kick off 2026! Our region hit the ground running in Q1 with a series of coffee networking events across our local groups and an educational program on AI (because who isn't talking about AI these days?). The energy and enthusiasm you've brought to these events has been inspiring, and it sets the tone for an exciting year ahead.
We also launched our new microvolunteer program this year, and we have been blown away by the response., Thank you to everyone who has expressed interest in getting involved. These opportunities are designed with you in mind - whether you're looking to build new skills, expand your network, or simply give back to our community, there's a role that fits your schedule and interests. If you'd like to learn more, please don't hesitate to reach out to me, your regional board members, or your local leaders. Want a hand in planning what our region does next? Come get involved!
LMA26 is right around the corner! The Annual Conference will take place April 20 - 22 in New Orleans, and we have a lot to look forward to as a region. We're excited to partner with the Northeast region for a joint breakfast event on Tuesday, April 21. If you're attending the conference or simply in the area, please join us. It's a wonderful chance to connect with colleagues from across the two regions.
Looking to the fall, mark your calendars: our Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference will be held on Wednesday, September 30, generously hosted by Hogan Lovells at their Washington, DC office. Stay tuned for programming and registration details - we can't wait to bring everyone together for what's going to be a great day of education and connection.
As always, this community is at its best when we show up for one another, and you have done exactly that this quarter. I'm grateful for your engagement, your willingness to volunteer, and your commitment to making this region thrive. If you have ideas, questions, or just want to connect, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Here's to a strong Q2 — I hope to see many of you in New Orleans!
With appreciation,
Stephanie Simpson
2026 LMA Mid-Atlantic Region President
