Our Mid-Atlantic Region has accomplished so much together. In 2021, we brought the region together virtually - connecting friends, colleagues, and volunteers - to learn, to support each other, and to build relationships. I am looking forward to all we will continue to accomplish together in 2022 and beyond.
Our Baltimore, Capital, and Virginias Local Steering Committees, working alongside our Regional Board, will continue to work hard on behalf of our members, non-members, and sponsors to maintain and grow the community that our region cherishes. Please reach out to any of our volunteer leaders on the Local Steering Committees and Regional Board with your suggestions or questions along the way.
We will continue the tradition of bringing our region together for substantive educational programming through virtual settings. While there are many benefits to virtual programming, we also value the community that is our foundation and that starts at the local level. As local guidance permits, our Local Steering Committees will look for opportunities to plan for in-personal socials of varying sizes. And we are excitedly and optimistically planning for a one-day, in-person, Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference in late September!
Our 2022 Local Steering Committee Leaders and Regional Board of Directors are an extremely committed group of volunteer leaders and we want to hear from YOU. Our community is the key to our success — your talents, your experience, your ideas — please share these skills through volunteering! We will be a better region for all these contributions and collaborations and opportunities to connect. Thank you for actively supporting the Mid-Atlantic Region, across the Baltimore, Capital, and Virginias local groups.

Call for Speakers: 2022 LMA Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference “FORWARD” – Proposals Deadline Extended to June 17
The Mid-Atlantic Region is now seeking experienced and dynamic presenters for its 2022 LMA Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference, which will take place at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. on October 12.
We invite you to submit program ideas by completing our online form by June 17, 2022 at 5 p.m. ET.
This year’s conference, “FORWARD,” will focus on how we move ahead as individuals in our professions, and how we help our firms navigate the landscape ahead after one of the most transformational times in our history. Our goal is to have diverse and impactful programming that is:
- Interactive: Content is delivered with attendee engagement in mind. Workshops, roundtables, and other engaging formats are strongly encouraged.
- Practical: Provides useful takeaways, templates and ideas that attendees can implement in their own organizations.
- Focused: Content reinforces the theme. Traditional marketing and business development skills are welcomed, but your proposal should articulate how the topic intersects with looking ahead to tackling challenges in this new landscape.
We are looking for a variety of program ideas that are relevant to marketing and business development professionals with different levels of experience, as well as ideas that cater to those at small, medium and large law firms. We will look to highlight trending topics in legal marketing, business development and marketing technology; and that provide useful and practical takeaways for our members.
If you are interested in being considered to speak and for further information complete our online form no later than June 17 at 5 p.m. ET.
