Happy New Year, LMA Canada Region!
I'm honored and excited to serve as your 2026 LMA Canada Region President.
Before looking ahead, I want to thank our Immediate Past President, Sarah Short, for her exceptional leadership. Sarah’s vision and commitment have continued to strengthen LMA Canada, and I'm hopeful that we can keep this momentum going.
LMA has had a profound impact on my career—and I know many of you feel the same. At the LMA Vancouver Social this winter, it really struck me how fortunate we are to be part of this incredibly warm and inviting community. Whether you're new to legal marketing or decades in, our members have a special knack for creating genuine connections and lifelong friendships. That sense of belonging is a big part of what keeps me here, and I suspect I'm not alone in that.
As we move into 2026, our Board will soon be meeting to collaborate on our strategic direction for the year. I for one am thinking about how technology and AI are transforming the legal sector and the opportunities for legal marketers to drive change. I’m also thinking about how we can continue to strengthen programming across all regions, including in French, and ensure every member experiences real value from their LMA membership. 2026 also brings the return of our Canada Regional Conference, which I’m personally very excited for.
