Whether you’ve been part of the Midwest community for years or you’re just starting to explore what LMA has to offer, 2026 is about connection, momentum, and making the most of the community we’ve built together.
This year, #MidwestACTIVATE continues to guide our region. It’s grounded in the idea that meaningful engagement leads to action, collaboration, and impact, and it shapes how we support connection and learning across the Midwest.
At the heart of LMA Midwest are our seven local groups, which bring the region to life through programming and relationship building in their communities. If you’re looking for the easiest way to plug in and start meeting people, your local group is a great place to start. If you live outside of a local area, we invite you to join our Virtual Village sessions throughout the year as another way to connect.
Throughout the year, you’ll see #MidwestACTIVATE reflected in a thoughtful mix of local events, regional programming, and opportunities to learn and connect with peers who understand the work you do.
One of the highlights of our year is the Midwest Summit (formerly Your Honor Awards), which will take place in Chicago on September 24. This signature event brings together legal marketing and business development professionals from across the region for a full day of learning, connection, and shared insight. It’s a great way to experience the Midwest community in action.
We’re also deeply grateful to the sponsors who support our work. Their involvement makes it possible for us to deliver high-quality programming, expand access, and continue investing in the strength of our Midwest community. It’s also a meaningful way to build visibility and relationships with legal marketing and business development professionals across the Midwest. If you’re considering a sponsorship this year, we’d love to connect and find the right fit.
As you explore LMA Midwest, I encourage you to engage in ways that feel meaningful to you, whether that’s attending an event, getting involved as a volunteer, sponsoring a program, or simply connecting with someone new.
We’re looking forward to activating a year of connection and growth across the Midwest, and I’m grateful to serve alongside our 2026 Midwest Board and Local Steering Committee leaders who make it all possible.
Warmly,
Lauren McNee Doherty
