Miranda Shaft
Client Relationship Manager; Perkins Coie

Miranda Shaft has spent the entirety of her career, planning. With nearly 20 years of law firm experience, she is well-versed in legal marketing, having spent time supporting national practice and industry groups, regional marketing initiatives, and co-leading the launch of a firm brand e-store. She spent five years as the Head of Marketing Events and Programs at Perkins Coie, leading a team of 4-8 people and an annual roster of 500 events. She even survived the pivot to virtual events during the pandemic (no small feat as anyone in the events industry knows!) In her current role as Client Relationship Manager, Miranda is responsible for managing projects impacting and relating to the firm’s key client accounts.

Within the industry, Miranda has held leadership roles with MPI Southern California Chapter (MPISCC) and has served on the CME Conference Committee for the West Region of the Legal Marketing Association (LMA).

Outside the office, Miranda spends her time planning international vacations, hosting a women’s dinner club, and consuming lots of pop culture. In 2023, she authored and published her first children’s book, Andas’ Airplane Alphabet. She lives in Los Angeles with her white mini schnauzer, Parmesan.


Melissa Goodman
Senior Events Manager, Perkins Coie

Melissa Goodman is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in event management and marketing. She currently serves as the Senior Event Manager at Perkins Coie LLP, a renowned international law firm. In this role, Melissa oversees the internal meetings and retreats team, as well as the marketing events teams in their planning and execution of high-profile events.

Before joining Perkins Coie, Melissa held various positions at prominent organizations such as Latham & Watkins, Dentons and KPMG. Prior to her professional services role, Melissa also worked for Hyatt is numerous operations and sales positions. Her background includes managing complex events, negotiating contracts, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional experiences for attendees.

Melissa is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), a designation that reflects her commitment to excellence and continuous learning in the events industry. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Outside of her professional life, Melissa is an avid traveler and like any native Angelino, a HUGE Los Angeles Dodgers fan!
