Q3 Message from Your Chicago LSC!

Hey Chicago!

As Q3 has quickly arrived, I am reaching back out to continue the conversation with you.

For those who I’m not familiar with, my name is Kate Harry Shipham and I am the Chair of the Chicago Local Steering Committee (LSC). The Chicago LSC is backed by the force of our small but mighty team, and they continue to provide proactive and thoughtful ways to reach our members and prospects. Thank you to Jordan Navarro, Lynmarie Lane, Sara Anstoetter, Michael Sandler, Lauren Boyer, Donna Shaft, Devon Pine, and Sue Robinson.

2 key things to share with you…

In person Chicago Social. On Tuesday August 16 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Chicago Brewhouse @ 33 E Riverwalk we will be celebrating a unique moment in time: coming back together. This will be a momentous occasion and drinks and light appetizers will be provided. This is a free event for members and prospects, and you can register here. I am truly excited for this!

Programming. Our LSC is working hard to ensure you have formal and informal programming which is relevant and insightful. If you missed our July Program here is a link to see a recap.

Our upcoming 5th Chicago Chat will take place virtually on Wednesday August 31, 12:00pm to 12.45pm CT, where our LSC member Lauren Boyer will lead a discussion on the role of marketing in partner lateral integration processes. Email me (kate@khspeople.com) for the link to join.

Finally, hold your calendars for a Mental Health focused program on Monday October 10, as this program will coincide with World Mental Health Day.

I also set you the challenge of taking a few days off to rest and recuperate as this year’s intensity isn’t really letting up. If you haven’t benefited from a vacation already this summer, schedule in a few days to do so: you’ve earned it. My family and I went off the grid camping in Michigan recently, and it was much-needed. Even if you can only do one or two days, try switching your phone off. The time to yourself will feel both surreal and replenishing.
