Giving Thanks Together at The Greater Chicago Food Depository

This holiday season let’s give thanks as a group by supporting our neighbors in need by volunteering together at the
Greater Chicago Food Depository.
The Greater Chicago Food Depository warehouse receives donations and purchases in bulk quantities. Together we will repack, sort, inspect and box shipments of produce, bread, or dry goods into smaller quantities for distribution to participating food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters in Cook County.
Dress Code:
Long pants, shirts that cover shoulders, and fully enclosed shoes are REQUIRED.

*Please arrive 15-30 minutes early to your Repack session so we can begin right on time with a brief orientation.

Free parking for volunteers is available on a first come, first serve basis. There are over 300 parking spots available for all volunteers, visitors and Food Depository staff. You can access the parking lot via the entrance on Ann Lurie.
