Wednesday, May 22 | 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. ET

Cecilia Linton and Emily Hillman from Society 54 will lead an interactive presentation focused on how to transform associate apathy into enthusiasm in engaging with business development and marketing efforts. Many associates possess incredible skills that often remain untapped due to a hesitancy to step out from behind their desks or to attempt to build skills that are outside of their comfort zones. From building relationships to building awareness, this session will provide actionable insights on how to break through the barriers and get associates actively involved in marketing and business development.

Emily Hillman
Manager
Society 54

Emily Hillman brings more than a decade of marketing, business development and client service experience to the Society 54 team. Her positive attitude and work-hard-play-hard mentality, combined with her intense desire to succeed and drive results for her clients, is the foundation on which she builds each client relationship. Emily splits her work between providing interim talent support for her clients and one-on-one business development coaching for attorneys and government relations professionals.

Emily has worked in various account management and client service roles throughout her career and enjoys building meaningful relationships with her clients and coaches built on trust, frequent communication, and respect. The last ten years of her career were spent in the legal industry, most recently as an in-house business development professional at an AmLaw 200 law firm. In this role, Emily worked on every aspect of business development and marketing for the firm, its attorneys and its government relations professionals. This support included one-on-one client development coaching, practice group development and strategy, website and social media management, budget planning, public relations and media strategy, sponsorship coordination, RFP response and pitch material development, client alert communication and blog management, Chambers submissions and other award nominations, and assisting with event planning and execution. This well-rounded and robust experience provides her with not only the experience needed to support her clients in all facets of legal marketing and business development, but also the depth to do so successfully.
