LMA Well Being

LMA created the Well-Being Resource Center and Well-Being Committee to support legal professionals in being resilient, healthy and whole. The information and tools in the center are for our members and all in the legal industry to access in order to help them and their teams feel supported, safe, engaged and healthy.

Missionwell-being icon.png Statement: The purpose of the Well-Being Committee is to support members of the legal marketing community by providing resources, education, and advocacy to promote positive mental health, cultivate resilience and create healthy work environments. The committee seeks to reduce mental health stigma, provide resources and training, as well as offer actionable recommendations to increase well-being and support the success of legal marketing professionals.

RECENT WELL-BEING WEDNESDAYS (Important Note: You must be logged in first in order to access recodings; complimentary for LMA members.)

NOVEMBER 1, 2023: "Grief and Loss in the Workplace," with Renee ranson, Principal at RB Consulting, discussed that unavoidable part of our professional lives — that we will have to experience grief and loss in the workplace. The death of a colleague, a co-worker who has experienced a loss in their personal life, or even a traumatic experience in the workplace all require us to feel, acknowledge, and respond to grief. This webinar focused on how we can support our colleagues and teams while grieving. It also explored how we can be there for ourselves when we are the ones hurting.

SEPTEMBER 20, 2023:  "How to Create Momentum Without Burning Out," with  Jennie (Fagan) Malloy, President & Executive Wellness Coach, Lights Camera Kale®. Jennie discussed how to stay motivated, manage your time and boost productivity with science-based techniques. She provided practical tips to set priorities, maintain energy and establish boundaries for a more balanced approach to our daily tasks. Note: this webinar was not recorded, but follow-up resources coming out of this session are forthcoming.

JULY 26, 2023: "Recovery in the Workplace" --  In this Well-Being Wednesday, Adam Ferrante of PeerPro Health discussed substance use and its effects on a personal and professional level. This critically important and sensitive issue affects every workplace. Discussion included new ways to support those in recovery both in the workplace, but also supporting friends and family.

SEPTEMBER  2022: "Less Stress, More Greatness" with Jarrett Green, who showed us the neuroscience behind stress -- science, cognition, entertainment and gave us takeaways to help us be our best selves. Missed it? Check out these helpful resources from Jarrett.
