This session offers a primer (or refresher) on best practices for pitching firm or attorney news to the media. Moderator Heather McMichael, Media Relations Manager for Shook Hardy & Bacon, will lead a panel including Chicago Daily Law Bulletin editor Andrea Hanis, Law360 editor Christian Lewis (who oversees the Expert Analysis section) and PR consultant Deb Pickett in a discussion of everything you need to know to be effective in getting your attorneys quoted, featured and published. The session will cover the difference between contributed content (thought leadership) opportunities and news/feature pitches, including the pros and cons of each, and how to decide which to pursue, along with tips on how to get your pitches seen and accepted.
