Midwest Summer Bootcamp Session One: Today’s BD Basics for In-House Marketers and the Attorneys They Coach

Midwest Region

July 14, 2021 | 12:00 PM Central

Conrad Saam  |  Mockingbird Marketing
John Reed  |  Rain BDM

How do in-house marketers get their attorneys to sit down and discuss their business development and personal marketing efforts?  What techniques, tips, and tools can you use to get their attention, gain their trust, and help them get traction?

In today’s law firm, legal marketers are also business development coaches, whether or not their job descriptions say so. In this information session, you’ll receive clear and practical advice for coaching your lawyers on building and strengthening relationships in-person, online, and in our increasingly virtual world.

Join Conrad Saam, Mockingbird Marketing, and John Reed, Rain BDM, on a conversation to learn how you can become a trusted advisor to lawyers who strive to be trusted advisors.

Key takeaways from this session include:

  • Initiating meaningful business development conversations without needless small talk
  • Realizing the need for search engine optimization regardless of an attorney’s practice or law firm size
  • Using experiences – not meetings – to cultivate strategic relationships
  • Understanding the how, why, and when of following up
