Stemming from a desire to increase business generation and lawyers’ desires to become rainmakers, business development
professionals at law firms have been tapped to coach with increasing frequency. This program, which will include the
perspective of both an outside senior coach who has worked exclusively with law firms for over 20 years and an in-firm
business development coach, will examine the role of the internal business development coach, provide tips for
professionals who are tasked with both coaching and more traditional business development responsibilities, and discuss
best practices for integrating coaching into existing firm practices in an effort to clarify, expand and optimize the
resources offered by business development departments.
