Spotlight on Ohio’s Parin V. Pandya

Meet Parin V. Pandya! Parin is a Business Development Specialist at Bricker Graydon LLP and a member of the LMA Ohio Local Group. Parin shares what Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month means to him, the best career advice he’s ever heard, and talks about his hobby of DJing as “DJ Prospect.”

Tell us your story – where do you work and what do you do? I work at Bricker Graydon LLP as a Business Development Specialist. I support attorneys with their business development efforts in numerous practice areas including Regulated Industries (Energy, Health Care, Insurance and Banking/Finance.) Sometimes it requires being a coach, nag and biggest fan—often all in the same meeting.

What is your favorite thing about being an LMA member? The open community that fosters communication amongst firms in order to grow our industry. Everyone is always so willing to help and give their two cents on any given roadblock.

What does Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month mean to you? An acknowledgment to the strides cultures like Indian-Americans and others have made since our country’s inception. It’s often easy for some to forget that our country was founded by immigrants in order to be the world’s melting pot.

What is your favorite cultural tradition? Indian-American weddings are always a blast!

What are your hobbies? I enjoy shooting pool, chilling with my pup and DJ’ing (DJ Prospect). I’ve had the pleasure of doing several concerts and shows over my musical career throughout high school, college and post-graduation with several artists including Machine Gun Kelly, Dead Prez, Nipsey Hussle and more.

What travel spot is on your bucket list? Turks and Caicos is on my bucket list.. the water there seems so clear!

What book are you currently reading? I’m listening to Salt, Fat, Heat, and Acid by Samin Nosrat on the Audible app.

If you could appear on any game show, which one would you choose? I would choose to attend The Price Is Right with my parents in the hopes that one (or both) of them would get to participate. My parents have been watching that show since they immigrated here in the late 60’s/early 70’s.

Do you have any pets? If so, what’s your favorite thing about them? Yes, Adi. He’s a 3-year-old Shih Tzu Bichon Frise Mix and my favorite thing about him is his unconditional love and how excited he is after I come home even after just a few minutes.

Which marketing leader do you most admire? I think Rohan Oza has a very interesting professional journey. He was the marketer at Coca Cola that put Sprite on the map through a DJ battle and also connected 50 Cent with Vitamin Water and Justin Timberlake with Bai.

What’s the best career advice that someone has ever given you? The train doesn’t stop twice.. meaning sometimes you get an opportunity and may need to seize it before it leaves you behind.
