The LMA Social & Digital Media Shared Interest Group (SIG) is pleased to announce the launch of our inaugural 21-Day Social Media Challenge. In the spirit of building a long-lasting habit of learning by stretching over 21 days, this challenge aims to deepen legal marketers’ awareness and understanding of the social media business landscape, financial outlook, and impact on the business of law.

The Challenge will begin on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, and follows a syllabus curated by the SIG. The Challenge will continue each weekday, skipping weekends and Juneteenth (June 19), and ends on World Social Media Day (June 30). For 21 days, participants are challenged to dedicate 15 to 30 minutes daily by engaging with at least one piece of content to deepen their social media knowledge, including readings, videos, podcasts, infographics and other learning materials. In addition to daily assignments, participants are invited to join weekly, 45-minute group discussions live via Zoom to further wrestle with these topics in a safe and judgment-free environment.

This program is not meant to be an introductory course on how to market your law firm using social media. Instead, the Challenge encourages participants to broaden their knowledge of social media as a driver of change in our world and in the legal industry. While the goal of the Challenge is to educate and inform, it covers topics that are graphic in nature or may otherwise cause feelings of discomfort, including violence, hate speech, addiction and self-harm. Participants are free to opt out at any time or skip any assignments for any reason. It is completely voluntary. Moreover, the views expressed in any assignments are solely meant to be informational and do not necessarily reflect the views of LMA or the Social & Digital Media SIG.
