Shade Vaughn oversees all marketing, communications and business development efforts by the firm. He works closely with firm management and lawyers to develop and execute the firm’s growth strategy. He identifies key platforms to drive revenue technology and operations. He leads a team of professionals across disciplines, including business development, growth and brand marketing, communications, client development and market intelligence.

Shade has more than 20 years of experience in a variety of marketing, communications and business development roles across professional services industries. Prior to joining Akin, he served as the Chief Growth and Communications Officer at another large international law firm. Before that, he served as Chief Marketing Officer, North America at Capgemini building a business development team with a highly integrated approach to marketing and sales. Earlier in his career, he was the Global Head of Marketing and Communications at SapientRazorfish (now Publicis Sapient) developing the strategic and brand position of the network of digital transformation agencies.

 


Amanda N. Loesch

Amanda Loesch is the Chief Marketing Officer at Day Pitney LLP, where she leads the firm’s marketing, communications, and business development strategy. Known for developing digital marketing initiatives that enhance client engagement and support business development growth, she focuses on aligning firm strategy with evolving market opportunities.

Before joining Day Pitney, Amanda served as Chief Marketing Officer at Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, overseeing firm-wide marketing and business development efforts including for its technology subsidiary, Porzio Life Sciences. Her leadership and marketing tactics helped position the subsidiary for growth, ultimately contributing to its acquisition by private equity in a first-of-its-kind transaction within the U.S. legal industry. Throughout her career, Amanda has held senior marketing roles at Am Law 100 firms and prominent regional firms across diverse markets.

She began her career in the Executive Leadership Development Program at JPMorgan Chase and holds a Bachelor of Music from New York University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Fordham Gabelli School of Business.

 


Kevin Iredell

Kevin Iredell is a seasoned global marketing executive with over two decades of experience in B2B and legal marketing. As CMBDO at Hughes Hubbard, Kevin leads a team responsible for all external marketing, communications and branding initiatives, with a focus on enhancing the firm’s reputation, client relationships and revenue.

Previously, Kevin served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Lowenstein Sandler LLP, where he developed and executed strategic plans across multiple business units, driving growth through creative campaigns and integrated marketing technologies. His earlier roles include Vice President of Legal Intelligence & Marketing at ALM Media—where he oversaw market intelligence for publications such as The American Lawyer and Law.com—and leadership positions in marketing research and analytics at Greentarget Global Group.

Kevin has been an active member of the Legal Marketing Association (LMA) since 2005 and served in numerous leadership roles at both the international and regional levels. He was President of the LMA in 2024 and currently serves as Immediate Past President on the 2025 International Board of Directors. He is deeply committed to advancing the profession and providing education, networking, and resources to the LMA community.

A recognized thought leader, Kevin frequently speaks on legal marketing and the business of law. He is a Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management and holds a B.A. in Economics from Villanova University.

Prior to launching Coston Consulting, Michael served for a decade as the Chief Marketing Officer of McKool Smith. He previously developed business development initiatives at two AmLaw 100 law firms and served as Director of Marketing at a New York law firm.

He holds a master’s degree in interpersonal/intercultural communication and bachelor’s degrees in Africana Studies and English from the University at Albany, along with a certification in Fostering Inclusion from the Yale School of Management.
