Join the Southeast Region for a series that explores the intersection between legal marketing and law firm diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.  

The Intensive focuses on TANGIBLE, ACTIONABLE things a marketer can do, use, or impact related to DEI. Each week of the 4-week series will focus on a different topic area: Rankings, Certifications and Client Reporting; Communications; Business Development; and Events. Each session will provide an essential skill offering on that topic that is directly followed by an advanced skill perspective on the same topic. Participants can attend one or both skill level offerings by topic or attend the entire series.


Week 3 - May 11th
Business Development
Every firm should consider a client-focused and client-inclusive Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy. A thoughtful strategy is critical to the development, implementation and success of any effort that could propel DEI to extend beyond a business imperative to a business accelerator. Legal marketers have an important role in ensuring that DEI is intertwined in business development and client relationship management efforts.

Essential (Hour 1): The Intersection of DEI and Business Development
Learn how to view key business development functions through the lens of DEI: Lateral Integration, Pitch Team and Sales practices, BD coaching to underrepresented populations, mentoring, best practice for affinity groups, speaking to the needs of diverse attorneys, and marketing diverse identifies. 

Advanced (Hour 2): DEI as a Revenue Driver
Participants will see real examples of, and gain the tools to develop, programs that employs innovative ways for their firms to partner with clients to further DEI between organizations.
