Positivity Series II – LMA Midwest members share their recent positive experiences

During 2020, staying positive is key. One of the positives I’ve recently noticed is that our members are appreciating the ways their current work and life circumstances have given them the perspective to see the positive over the negative.

In this Positivity Series, I will be sharing Midwest members’ positive take on work, life, and all those little unexpected things in between. Our first feature on this was by Deborah Weinstock from Minneapolis. She shared some incredibly heartwarming stories for us: https://bit.ly/3bHoj01

And now, read more for Series II…

Catherine Williams from Indianapolis

Manager of Business Development and Marketing, Kightlinger & Gray

Catherine’s Professional Positive

Catherine shared that working remotely and being forced to adapt to all things virtual has made meeting and getting to know all of the attorneys in all of their different office locations much more accessible. (I have heard this frequently; many marketing and BD professionals now have GREATER accessibility to their lawyers.) She says she simply would not have had a chance to meet with everyone in person in the amount of time she’s been able to over the last five months. This has made Catherine feel much more connected to her firm as a whole.

Catherine’s Personal Positive

She shares how she’s been able to slow down and focus more on her spiritual, mental, and physical health. Meditation and walks have become a favorite part of her daily routine. She also says that her dogs are pretty happy about it as well…! (This is turning into a common theme. People suddenly have the space and some time to focus on their overall health. This piece can never be overstated.)

Catherine’s Unexpected Positive

Catherine’s unexpected positive has been reconnecting with old friends and growing relationships. She says the craziness in this world has made us all realize how important our loved ones are to us, and work can easily overtake this. She went on to share that we are all dealing with added issues caused by COVID-19 and it has been incredibly uplifting for her to see her circle grow and strengthen during such an unpredictable time.

Thank you Catherine! Inspiring stories and some very relatable moments.
